Community Showcase
Apply to be an exhibiting artist at an upcoming Community Showcase!
Hi there!! Are you interested in showcasing your artwork, handmade crafts, food, or other goodies at Drawing Room! Community Showcase is a celebration of our incredible creative community, providing a night of great conversations, connection, trades, and even purchasing of local creations.
We're accepting applications for our Community Showcase. Exhibiting artist spots are $35 prepaid, and all other attendees’ tickets are pay-what-you-wish at the door.
The theme for Drawing Room’s Creative Showcase is "handmade mini's"! Please submit your information below to be considered, after considering all the points below.
You'd be a great candidate to be an exhibiting artist at this event if:
You care about community, creativity, and building a supportive environment. This event is less of a market or fair – it is intended to provide artists opportunities to showcase their work and passions. As with other Drawing Room events, the primary goal is to share and connect with community. Sales are encouraged, but not the focus. Our space has a limited capacity, and it will be a sliding scale ticketed event. This means that there are a limited number of attendees, many of whom are also artists- which makes for a more intimate experience focused on building connections within our community rather than optimizing for volume of foot traffic.
You have a handmade creative skill you'd like to showcase. This could be crafts, ceramics, artwork, knitted projects, jewelry, paper, food, drinks, and more!
You create/have created items (or will create items) that fit the theme of "handmade mini's"
Requirements, fees, and other considerations:
To be an exhibiting artist or food vendor, once you are notified that you have been accepted, you will be required to pay the table fee of $35 to reserve your spot within 48 hours of receiving your acceptance email.
All items MUST be 100% handmade. Prints of handmade artwork is okay. If you have questions about whether your items qualify, please add this as a note in your application.
Any single item should not exceed 10x10x10 inches in dimension.
Weapons, flammable, or offensive items are not permitted.
We recommend bringing at least 3-10 units of items to showcase. Please be prepared to fit your items within a 25wx18h inch area on a table.
Prepare and consider the display of your pieces on-site. Tablespace will be shared, and tables are meant to be circumnavigated so there will be no "back" or directionality as there might be with traditional booths. Your pieces can be seen from all angles. Please avoid displays that are so tall they may block visibility of neighboring works. If your work is interfering with your neighbors space you may be asked to rearrange your display.
If you plan to also make your pieces available for sale, you are responsible for handling payments on your own – square, venmo, cash, etc. are all acceptable. We recommend having at least one digital option available. QR codes are helpful for both receiving payments and directing people to your social media!
You are welcome to stay near your items and chat with folks who are interested in your pieces, but you are not required to "man" your booth area at all times. That said, Drawing Room is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. To the extent you are comfortable, you are also encouraged to enjoy the event and support all the other artists and makers.
Trades with fellow artists are encouraged! There will be a dedicated time during setup or take down to do all your trades.
If your application requires clarification, you may be scheduled to speak with someone from our team as a next step.
Kindness, respectfulness, and inclusivity are non-negotiable. Anything else is not tolerated; Drawing Room reserves the right to refuse entry or participation, or to remove anyone, including exhibiting artists, from the premises to failure to abide.
Thanks for your interest and hope to see you soon!! So excited to showcase your work as a part of Drawing Room's Variety Show! Please note we are not able to reply to every single submission due to the volume of interest we receive. We will reach out to those that are accepted for the show. Thank you for your understanding!
