Figure drawing can be intimidating! But what’s more beautiful than the human figure? We want to make it as easy as possible to become more confident in drawing the body by adding a twist – wine and gestures. Free yourself of your own expectations – we focus less on details and perfection and more on capturing movements, shapes, and emotion.
We’ll grab our drinks and step into the moody salon area of our beautiful space, do a mini breathing and stretching warmup to get grounded, and do some fun warmups like blind drawing with other attendees to get comfortable and share some laughs. We’ll then learn how to start sketching poses of our beautiful models with a series of demos from our artist instructor, Meiying. You’ll get guidance as we go along, and you’ll definitely see yourself improve! You can even frame your favorite piece at the end.
Step out of your comfort zone and treat yourself to a full-body experience to dip your toes into gesture drawing! Beginners encouraged.
