Pen to Paper: A writing workshop

  • Drawing Room 247 West 30th Street New York, NY, 10001 United States (map)

Whether you are an avid writer or don’t know where to start, the pen-to-paper writing workshop is for you!

Intro to Creative Writing

It's time to dust off your notebooks, lay out your first-day outfit, and prepare to head back to school as we experience the joy and therapeutic benefits of writing. You will work from approachable prompts and exercises to sharpen your craft. Using memories from adolescence, you will experiment with syntax to free your inner child and send them on a creative voyage. All writing will receive instructor-guided feedback, and your skills will be strengthened with every session. At the end of class, we'll exchange personally written thank you notes to commemorate your growth as a writer and the connections you made in class.

This workshop is great for solo writers or a wonderful way to connect with partners and friends! This is a beginner-friendly class with opportunities for feedback and deeper instruction.

  • A guided workshop by Rachel Herron (@rachelherron).
