Knit Pillows

  • Drawing Room 247 West 30th Street New York United States (map)

Not your grandma’s knitting class!

Cozy Season is here – sit down with some knitting needles to unwind. With some practice, knitting can be a great skill to carry with you everywhere you go from your couch, to a road trip, to the park, or even to the knitting circle with friends! Plus, knitting is a meditative practice that helps cut down on screen-time… Learn how to start any knit project to create one-of-a-kind objects (perfect for gifting, too, btw) by casting on, learning several stitches to experiment with, and finally casting off. Combine different types of yarn and stitches to create a pillowcase that’s 100% unique!

After some practice and seeing lots of inspiration, we’ll sketch our designs, pick our designs, and complete our very own throw pillows to add that cozy touch to our spaces.

Having a guide at your disposal to help you when you drop your first stitch (you will) or offer advice when your tension is too tight (it happens) is one of the great aspects of joining a class to embark on your first project of making a 9in x 9in pillow cover.

Instructed by Adriana Gramly.

$120 (early bird tickets available).
